Beach Cleanup-#defendthesea

Oceans cover about 70 percent of the earth, giving them a major role in climate control. Indeed, oceans and atmosphere are practically one, constantly exchanging heat, water, gases, and momentum in the form of wind and waves. Sadly, the world’s seas and oceans, already polluted with spilled oil, toxic chemicals and radioactive waste, are now being fouled by a new and insidious form of pollution — plastic waste. The World Ocean Day will be celebrated with a beach cleanup event, followed by planting of trees along the beach shorelines. Waste materials collected from the beach, will be sorted and recycled. We will be defending the oceans against waste.
