Celebration of World Oceans Day 2017 by the Mauritius Oceanography Institute

The 2017 World Oceans Day will be celebrated over two days (8th and 9th June) by the Mauritius Oceanography Institute. The inauguration of the new Office and Laboratory complex of Mauritius Oceanography Institute in Albion will take place on the 8th June, followed by the launching of the new website. Foreign and local dignitaries present on that occasion will be invited to visit exhibition booths and MOI Research Facilities.

On the 9th June a series of activities will take place at the new MOI complex. These include visit of multi stakeholder exhibits and displays and short films viewing on marine related activities. The target audience will be secondary school and tertiary students from the different regions of the island.
