It’s a new year and we’re getting excited for World Oceans Day 2014! We have a few plans we’d like to share for this year’s celebration under the theme Together we have the power to protect the ocean.

What to look out for in the new year:

  • Dr. Seuss materials, paired again with activities from AZA educators. If you have an activity you’d like to share, shoot on over to our form! Or, if you have great ideas and little time, you can email me your materials.
  • [space height=”7″]
  • “Pre-fab,” action-focused programs for event organizers to use, which will make planning your events easier than ever. These programs will have basic background information, tips on framing the issue to event attendees, and some actions to suggest visitors take. More on these programs soon!
  • [space height=”7″]
  • Outreach to divers, surfers, sailors, and others who use the ocean recreationally. These groups are already involved with World Oceans Day on many levels – and we want to help them take their celebrations to the next level.
[space height=”15″] It’s going to be a great year, stay tuned for more info soon. If you have any feedback or ideas about how we can make World Oceans Day better, please feel free to send us an email. We appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you so much for sharing this New Plans for World Ocean’s Day. I am also concern that each one of us all over the world should participate with this type of event. Let us all help one another to preserve our nature. I am looking forward for another post like this, for the awareness of everyone.
