Marine Debris Creative Advocacy Competition

 

Do you have a creative idea to fight plastic pollution? 

Bow Seat's international competition challenges middle and high school students to design and lead a creative project or campaign in their school or community that educates others and inspires action to reduce or prevent marine debris and plastic pollution. Students have an opportunity to earn awards of up to $5,000!

Past student projects have included: marine debris cleanups and trash sculptures; plastic pollution-themed art shows and events; environmental education programs for elementary students; awareness campaigns to refuse single-use plastic straws; partnerships with local cafes or grocery stores to reduce plastic bag usage... and more! 

Details:

  • Open to students ages 11-18 worldwide
  • Students can earn awards of up to $5,000!
  • Free to enter
  • Deadline to submit: June 17, 2019, but interested students should register project ideas early
